For those who have a GPS route planner, Le Peuch is located at 44° 55,44 .094 Latitude, 00° 59,21 .256 Longitude
If you want to stay overnight during your trip, consider Orleans. At the exit of Orleans/La Chapelle many motels and hotel are available, including Campanille and Holiday Inn.
If you've travelled through France before, then the following might not be for you.
Paris - Dordogne
First travel to Paris. From Paris the traffic lightens up. Via Orleans - Vierzon go in the direction of Limoges. Near Vierzon you have to pay attention not to drive towards Clermont-Ferrand, but take the exit towards Limoges/Toulouse. (A 20)
Near Limoges you have three possibilities to get to Les Eyzies.
Our experience is that all three routes are about equal in duration. From Limoges to Le Peuch is about a two hour drive.
From Paris North there are three routes to Limoges.
Limoges - Les Eyzies
There are three routes from Limoges to Les Eyzies .
From the direction of Montignac, you enter Les Eyzies. Through the main street, across the railway line and over a bridge over the Vézère. After the bridge turn left towards St. Cirq/Le Peuch (C2). Follow the road, across the railway line, then immediately turn right and after 2 kilometres (1.2 mile) turn right again. Cross the railway line and find Le Peuch under the Troglodite sightseeing points.
From the direction of Perigueux before the bridge across the Vézère, turn right to St Cirq/Le Pech (C2). Follow the road, across the railway line, then immediately turn right and after 2 kilometres (1.2 mile) turn right again. Cross the railway line and find Le Peuch under the Troglodite sightseeing points.
